Polestar, backed by China’s Geely Holding Group and headquartered in Sweden, registered 5,844 vehicles across eleven European markets in June, more than doubling its May tally of 2,648 units.
The monthly total represented a 120.7% increase from the previous month and a 70.6% rise compared with June 2024.
Polestar’s European registration volumes remain volatile, reflecting the brand’s reliance on Chinese and US manufacturing and shipment cycles.

It manufactures its Polestar 2 in its Luqiao factory, in Zhejiang, since 2020. The Polestar 3 SUV’s production is split between Chengdu, China and, most recently, Volvo’s plant in South Carolina, US.
The Polestar 4 is currently manufactured in Hangzhou Bay, China. A new plant in Busan, South Korea, is expected to start production of the model in the following months.
Last month, the UK remained Polestar‘s largest market in the continent.
The brand sold a total of 2,595 vehicles on the island, up from 1,174 units sold a month before, while tripling year over year from the 660 vehicles registered a year ago.
In Sweden, and the Netherlands, the brand reached new records, with 1,010 and 434 units, respectively. In May, it had sold 613 vehicles in the Swedish market and 134 in the Dutch ones.
Sales in Finland also saw a new high with 247 vehicles — more than doubling from the 94 units sold in May and from the 101 vehicles recorded in June 2024.
In Norway, Polestar sold 774 vehicles last month, jumping from the 266 vehicles a month before and from the 388 sold a year before.

In Germany, Polestar listed 517 EVs. Year over year, sales jumped 54.8% from 334 units. In May, the company had sold 240 vehicles.
According to Portuguese national data, Polestar registered 111 units, a surge of 158.1% from a year ago (from 43). Figures more than tripled month over month.
Official registration data from the Spanish association ANFAC does not disclose sales per brands. However, according to EU-EVs, 234 Polestar vehicles were sold in the country last month, nearly doubling from the 170 registered a year ago.
Data from the platform suggests that the brand sold 88 vehicles in Italy, up from the 32 recorded in May and from the 33 registered a year ago.
Last month, Polestar officially opened orders in France, where it is partnering with Volvo’s retail network.
However, official data from the French association CCFA did not include any vehicle registered by the brand in June.
The brand plans to grow its European retail footprint to more than 180 locations by 2027.
The brand did not set a sales target for the quarter nor for the full year of 2025, however, in late April, it said that it “continues to target compound annual retail sales volume growth of 30-35% for 2025 to 2027.”
Last week, the brand revealed the first teaser of Polestar 7, which is set to launch in 2027 and to be produced at Volvo’s plant in Kosice, Slovakia.
The brand disclosed at the J.P. Morgan European Automotive Conference that its sixth model will be equipped with a 90kWh battery and built on a 900V electrical system.
