Nio EP9 enters “Forza Horizon 5” next month and becomes the first Chinese brand supercar in the game

NIO EP9 Model is about to land in the racing game Extreme Race: Forza Horizon 5, becoming the first Chinese brand supercar in the game — says Nio. The model will be worldwide available do drive on Forza Horizon 5 on February 3.

Last month, during The Game Awards 2021, Forza horizon won in three out of the four categories it was nominated in. Forza Horizon 5 also took home the ‘Best Sports/Racing game’ gong – ahead of F1 2021, Hot Wheels Unleashed, Riders Republic – and ‘Best Audio Design’, beating the likes of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Deathloop, Returnal and Resident Evil Village

Forza Horizon 5 is a 2021 racing video game developed by Playground Games and published by Xbox Game Studios. The twelfth main instalment of the Forza series, the game is set in a fictionalised representation of Mexico. It was released on 9 November 2021 for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

NIO EP9 is one of the fastest electric cars in the world with a Lap Record of 06:45:900 on the iconic NÜRBURGRING NORDSCHLEIFE (Germany), May 12th, 2017.

The EP9 accelerates from 0-200 km/h (0-124.27 mph) in 7.1 seconds and has a top speed of 313 km/h (195 mph). With an interchangeable battery system, the EP9 is designed to be charged in 45 minutes and has a range of 427 kilometers (265 miles).

The carbon cockpit and chassis handles the physical demands of a car with 3G cornering capabilities (3.30 G longitudinal under braking, 2.53 G lateral in cornering at 230 km/h), with added structural solidity and aero efficiency. (A modern Formula One car is capable of developing 3.5 g lateral cornering force thanks to aerodynamic downforce.)

NIO ES6 Model was seen today in California, United States. The vehicle has a local licensed plate (California) and not a Chinese or Norwegian one. The Chinese EV maker plans to enter 25 countries within 3 years, as announced during the last NIO Day.

Nio began its international expansion last year when started selling in Norway and will enter another four European Markets during this year: Germany, Sweden, Denmark and The Netherlands.
