Chinese carmaker XPeng registered 3,400 vehicles between February 3 and 9, data shared by the Chinese carmaker Li Auto showed on Tuesday. In the previous two weeks combined, the company had recorded 11,100 EVs.

Registration numbers stayed low across most manufacturers due to ongoing disruptions from the Chinese New Year holiday, which took place from January 28 to February 4.

Last week’s figures included 1,980 units of XPeng’s cheapest model, the Mona M03 sedan, and 960 P7+ sedans.

The premium EV brands Nio and Zeekr registered 1,100 and 2,400 vehicles, respectively. Aito, the brand backed by China’s Seres Group and Huawei which sells plug-in hybrid models, recorded 1,100 units.

Earlier this month, the Guangzhou-based brand announced it is now offering a 0% down payment and zero-interest financing program for three years on its P7i sedan and G6 SUV, claiming savings can reach 20,000 yuan ($2,750) and 18,000 yuan ($2,450), respectively.

As reported last week, BlackRock reduced its stake in Chinese carmaker XPeng in Q4 to 4.7%, holding 72.77 million shares as of December 31. The world’s asset manager sold 10.03 million shares in the last quarter of 2024.

XPeng shares nearly doubled over the last 12 months and reached a new yearly high at over $17.00. Year to date, the stock is up 40.02%.
