Electric vehicle maker XPeng is set to unveil its new flagship sedan, the P7+, on October 10. Deliveries in China are expected to begin later this year, though the timeline for its debut in other markets remains unknown.
On the same day, Tesla will hold a highly anticipated product launch for its much-awaited Cybercab robotaxi, marking one of the most significant unveilings in the company’s history.

XPeng CEO He Xiaopeng has recently driven the model to the Yunqi Conference hosted by Alibaba. The model appeared in camouflage and was branded with the slogan “The World’s First AI-Defined Vehicle.”

As exclusively reported by EV in mid-September, the company will showcase its upcoming model for the first time outside China at the Paris Auto Show in mid-October.
The P7+ features a three-meter wheelbase and is over 5 meters long and will be the brand’s first model based on its next-generation ADAS hardware platform.
“P7+ not only beats our cost-reduction targets in both ADAS-related hardware and overall vehicle bump but also boasts technology innovations and cost advantages that outperform our competitors,” the chief executive said during the second quarter earnings call.
“With deliveries of two new models ramping up, we’re optimistic about significantly expanding our market share,” he added.
Earlier this month, XPeng‘s smallest SUV, the G6, secured a five-star rating on the EuroNCAP Safety tests.
With the exception of the safety assist category, the model exceeded the results achieved by the previous vehicles tested, the G9 SUV and the P7 sedan.
