As exclusively reported by EV earlier this month, XPeng is set to globally launch the new iteration of its P7+ sedan on January 8.
The company began posting several teasers of the model on Weibo this Monday, including that it will launch simultaneously across 36 markets globally.
While the brand did not officially name the markets, details shared indicate that the rollout will focus primarily on Asia and Europe.
Images posted by XPeng point to launches in Belgium, France, Italy, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Morocco, alongside its domestic market.
A company spokesperson told EV earlier this December that pricing for the model for the Chinese market, including both powertrains, will be announced at the January 8 event.
The fully electric version’s price for European markets will be revealed the following day.
There is currently no information about whether the hybrid version will be offered in Europe as well.
Late last month, XPeng‘s founder and CEO He Xiaopeng said the company was considering the launch of its EREV models in Europe, but gave no timeline for that to happen.
New Specs
The new P7+ will be featured in both battery electric (BEV) and extended-range (EREV) versions, as the company recently began production of hybrid models.
“The pure electric version is upgraded with the “857” standard: a full 800V platform, full-range 5C ultra-fast AI battery, and a CLTC range of up to 725 km,” the brand stated.
On the other hand, the extended-range version offers a CLTC pure electric range of 430 km, which makes it the “world’s longest-range pure electric extended-range coupe” according to XPeng.
Its combined range, including both electric and fuel, totals 1,550 km.
The new 2026 XPeng P7+ features a redesigned exterior with a ‘Star-Wing’ full-width light strip and ‘Star-Trail’ full-width taillights, setting it apart from the previous generation.
It comes equipped with an AGS active air intake grille and 20-inch sport wheels.
Inside, the P7+ offers upgraded ‘Starfall’ ambient lighting with “256-color seamless adjustment,” an 8.8-inch Tech-Island instrument panel, and a 29-inch full-scenario head-up display.
The interior also introduces two new color options: ‘Soft Light Purple’ and ‘Morning Mist Blue.’
P7+ Sales Performance
The current version of the P7+ is priced from 186,800 yuan, equivalent to $26,580.
The “world’s first AI-defined vehicle,” as XPeng calls it, was launched in November 2024.
Monthly deliveries quickly jumped to a record of 10,000 units in December 2024, before falling to between 6,000 and 8,600 vehicles in the first six months of 2025.
Since then, monthly deliveries have hovered at around 5,000 units, hitting a new low of 4,870 vehicles in November, as the brand’s overall deliveries also declined.
It was still the third best-selling model, after the cheaper Mona M03 sedan and G6 SUV.
