China’s XPeng delivered 36,717 fully electric vehicles in July, marking the ninth consecutive month above 30,000 units and a new all time record for the Guangzhou-headquartered brand.
In July, the company reached a new milestone, delivering its 200,000th vehicle of the year and the 800,000th since its founding 11 years ago.
The figures showed a sequential 6% increase from June’s 34,611 units, and a 229% jump from the 10,668 vehicles sold a year ago.
Between January 1 and July 31, XPeng delivered a total of 233,906 vehicles and is on track to beat its target of 380,000 units for 2025.
By the end of July, XPeng had achieved 61.6% of its full-year target of 380,000 units, which CEO He Xiaopeng said earlier this year he was “confident” about the company reaching.
XPeng said on Friday that its XNGP assisted driving technology reached a monthly active user penetration rate of 86% in urban driving in July, up from 85% in June.
On August 6 — about a month after launching its G7 model — the company will unveil the new P7 sedan five years after the first iteration rolled off the production line in China.
At the beginning of July, the brand officially launched its G7 SUV, which it calls “the world’s first L3-level intelligent super AI vehicle.” Deliveries of the model began “shortly” after.
The mid-size SUV is priced between 195,800 yuan and 225,800 yuan ($27,300–$31,500), below the pre-order price of 235,800 yuan.
According to a report by local media outlet AutoPix late last month, XPeng plans to reposition its G6 SUV — currently priced similarly to the higher-spec G7 — through cost-cutting measures.
The G6, XPeng’s most affordable SUV, starts at 176,800 yuan (approximately $24,700). A lower-cost version of the G6 is expected to enter production in the fourth quarter of 2025.
During last month, XPeng announced it created a special task force to crack down on malicious online attacks to the company. It said to be collaborating with authorities to find those spreading rumors and defamation.
A week later, the automaker’s legal team announced it had secured a penalty against a person and a court ruling against a company, both for spreading misinformation.
XPeng has updated its hiring plans for this year, increasing the number of new hirings from 6,000 to 8,000, the company said in an internal event.
The automaker officially entered into its 18th European market, the Czech Republic, in early July. The company arrived in Italy and Slovakia a few days before.
It has also announced expansion to to Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Hungary, Slovenia and Croatia.
Sales for its refreshed iterations of the G6 and G9 SUVs have started in several European markets, with deliveries set to start “at the end of the summer.”
