XPeng sold 333 vehicles in Norway in April, a 189.6% increase from a year earlier, according to data from the Norwegian Road Federation on Monday. Sales also rose 17.7% from March, when 283 units were registered.
The Guangzhou-based EV maker registered 672 vehicles in Norway during the first quarter. With April’s results, XPeng has now surpassed 1,000 electric vehicles sold in the country in 2025, reaching a total of 1,005 units.
In the first four months of 2024, the company had sold 406 vehicles in Norway.
Last month, XPeng sold 185 G6 SUVs, with a yearly total of 639 units delivered in the Nordic market. The model is priced from NOK 387,778, equivalent to around $37,400.
The brand’s lineup also includes its G9 SUV, with prices beginning at NOK 510,084 ($49,200), and its P7 sedan, being sold from NOK 439,900 ($42,450). Sales for both models were at 148 units — below G6’s deliveries alone.
The refreshed X9 multi-purpose van (MPV), which was globally launched last month and is already featured in European websites, will be launched in the second half of the year.
According to the brand’s website for the Norwegian market, the refreshed MPV starts a nationwide test-drive tour later this Monday, May 5. However, no date has been set for opening orders or for the first deliveries.
XPeng Norway is currently running a campaign for its G6 and G9 Performance models, both in white metallic, for purchases made between May 1 and June 30, on which the G6 is sold from NOK 459,900 ($44,400) and the G9 starts at NOK 669,900 ($64,600). The campaign also includes the Premium and Comfort packages on G9 purchases.
Competitors
Norway is the leading country in the world in EV adoption, where fully electric sales represented 97% of the market share in April. Out of 11,286 vehicles delivered, around 10,950 were battery electric (BEV).
Volkswagen is the top-selling brand in Norway year to date, with over 7,000 vehicles sold. Tesla follows with 4,793 units sold from January 1, from which 3,656 were refreshed Model Ys.
The Elon Musk-led brand’s Model Y SUV is the best-selling model year to date in the Nordic market. It sold 869 units in April, and Volkswagen followed with 724 ID.4’s.
When considering only Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) brands, BYD takes the lead in Norway with 399 vehicles sold last month, which include both fully electric and hybrid models, also reaching its 1,000th vehicle sold year to date — a total of 1,140 units in the past four months.
Polestar deliveries jumped nearly 150% to 228 vehicles in April. In the premium EV sector, Zeekr sold 97 EVs and Nio 29 — a sharp drop of 55% year over year for the Shanghai-base company.
Europe
XPeng entered Europe via Norway in 2021. The brand sold 105 units in the Dutch market last month, a jump of  72.1% year over year. In Sweden, it registered a 63% surge with 98 units.
Having launched in Poland in March and with plans to enter Italy soon (according to VP Brian Gu), the company aims to double its presence to 60 markets by the end of this year.
The carmaker delivered over 35,000 vehicles in April globally, soaring 273% year over year, and surpassing the 30,000 unit mark for the sixth consecutive month.
In the first four months of 2025, XPeng delivered over 129,000 vehicles globally — 34% of its annual target of delivering 380,000 vehicles for the entire year.
