The delivery wait time for XPeng’s latest model, the Mona M03, has extended from 3-5 weeks to 5-7 weeks, the company’s official app shows.
Earlier this week, a video shared by the electric vehicle maker showed it has already produced a few thousand units as orders surpass 30,000. The longer wait times suggest the Guangzhou-based company has its production capacity fully booked through September and nearly the full month of October.
The founder and chief executive, He Xiaopeng, delivered the first units of the model on the first day of the Chengdu Auto Show.
Never Miss an Update on XPeng
“The delivery wait time for the XPeng M03 has suddenly changed to 5-7 weeks, with September production capacity already fully booked. October’s production capacity is also nearly fully booked,” the blogger “电车财金蒋开石” wrote on Weibo on Saturday.

After securing 10,000 orders in the first 52 minutes, XPeng announced last Thursday it reached a total of 30,000 since the launch event held in Beijing earlier in the week.
The vehicle’s system is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip and 16GB of memory, running on an in-house operating system.
