XPeng‘s registrations fell to 67 units last month in the Netherlands, as it prepares to start deliveries of the refreshed versions of the G6 and G9 SUVs in Europe in a few weeks.
Data from the national association BOVAG revealed on Tuesday that sales fell 31.6% year over year and 41.2% month over month.
Registrations of the Chinese carmaker in June were the same as February’s, with both months recording the lowest monthly figures so far this year.
Additionally, June’s registrations ended the three-month streak of continuous growth.
XPeng sold 46 units of its G6 SUV, while the G9 represented 19 of the vehicles sold. In the Netherlands, the G6 model is available from €42,990 ($50,400), while the G9 starts at €59,990 ($70,300).
In Europe, XPeng is still selling an early version of the P7 sedan, for which a new version has been unveiled in China.
The model is priced from €49,990, equivalent to $58,600 in the Dutch market. It represented 2 out of the 67 units sold by the brand in June.
Year to date, the Guangzhou-based brand sold 532 vehicles in the Netherlands, up 15.4% from the same period last year.
Fully electric vehicles accounted for 63,877 of the 182,680 vehicles sold in the Netherlands during the first half of 2025.
EVs represented about one in each three vehicles sold in the Dutch market from April 1 to June 30, with a 35% market share.
In June, Renault was the best-selling brand across all powertrains, surpassing Kia. The brands sold 3,024 and 3,005 vehicles, each.
The best-selling model in the Dutch market was Tesla‘s Model Y, representing 1,250 units, while its Model 3 sedan ranked third, with 749 of the total.
Tesla nearly doubled its sales sequentially to 2,002 vehicles. However, registrations fell 41.8% year over year.
Geely-backed Polestar recorded its best sales month ever in the Netherlands with 434 vehicles registered in June. Premium brand Zeekr registered 150 vehicles in June — 5 units below May’s figures, but more than doubling from the 68 vehicles sold a year ago.
Chinese carmaker BYD saw its sales surge 83.9% from a year ago, with 412 fully electric and hybrid vehicles.
Nio‘s sales in the Dutch market fell to one unit, half of what it sold in June 2024. Registrations saw a 80% drop sequentially.
However, the Nio Group sold six units of its sub-brand Firefly in the first month the nameplate appeared in official Dutch records.
Second quarter deliveries reached 103,181 units — in line with the projected guidance of between 102,000 and 108,000 vehicles.
The company sold 346 vehicles last month in Norway, a 235.9% jump when compared to the same period a year ago, according to data from the national association OFV.
In the Swedish market, the brand sold 72 vehicles last month, up 157.1% year over year, despite a sequential drop from the 106 units registered in May.
The company recently launched in Italy, with a lineup that includes both new iterations. It also officially expanded to Slovakia and Czech Republic.
