Chinese carmaker XPeng, which entered Germany just over a year ago, sold 266 vehicles in July — reaching a new monthly record in the country.
According to data from the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) released on Tuesday, registrations rose by 26 units from June’s 240 vehicles.
During the same period last year, XPeng sold 16 vehicles in Germany, marking its third month of sales in Europe’s largest car market.
The Guangzhou-based brand registered a total of 1,331 electric vehicles in the first seven months of 2025.
Last month, a total of 264,802 passenger vehicles were sold in Germany, from which 48,614 were battery electric vehicles (BEV). Fully electric sales jumped 58% year over year.
Regarding new energy vehicle (NEV) brands, BYD led with 1,126 hybrid and fully electric vehicles sold last month. It was followed by US brand Tesla, which registered 1,110 EVs.
Shanghai-based EV maker Nio recorded 47 units last month, its highest monthly figures in over a year.
XPeng‘s lineup in Germany includes its two SUVs and the P7 sedan, which is priced from €49,600 ($58,100). A new iteration of the model will be launched in its domestic market on Wednesday (August 6).
In mid-July, the Guangzhou-based brand opened orders for the refreshed iterations of its G6 and G9 SUVs in several European countries, including Germany. The carmaker said that deliveries would begin “at the end of Summer.”
The new iteration of the G6 SUV is priced €4,000 higher than the previous version was a month ago — starting from €47,600 ($55,800). Customers can still configure the 2024 model, priced from €43,600.
Both the 2024 and 2025 versions of the G9 SUV, its most expensive model in the lineup, begin at €59,600 ($69,900).
According to a new offer — which runs until September 30 — customers can lease the previous iteration of the G6 and the G9 for €399 and €529 per month, with a 48-month contract.
Until July 31, XPeng was offering a €3,000 (about $3,500) trade-in bonus for customers purchasing a G6 or G9 SUV, which included petrol and diesel vehicles.
In mid-July, the company appointed Kai Qian as its new country director for Germany. Qian joined the Guangzhou-based automaker in late 2021, initially as Senior Commercial Manager EU.
XPeng continues to expand its presence across the globe, with deliveries reaching 36,717 vehicles last month, a new monthly record for the brand and its ninth month above 30,000 units.
In Europe, the automaker officially entered into its 18th European market, the Czech Republic, in early July, and announced expansion to to Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Hungary, Slovenia and Croatia.
