China’s Trademark Office of the IP Administration received an application from the carmaker XPeng for the “P7 Ultra” trademark, which falls under the international classification for transportation vehicles.

The application is currently awaiting substantive review, as initially reported by the Chinese media outlet IT Home.

Currently, XPeng’s P7 lineup includes the P7i, priced between 249,900 and 289,900 yuan ($34,300–$39,800), and the recently launched P7+, with prices starting from 186,800, equivalent to $25,600.

The filing comes shortly after rival Xiaomi introduced the Ultra variant of its debut model, the SU7. The $72,750 vehicle secured 10,000 orders within two hours, prompting Xiaomi’s CEO to discuss expanding production capacity.

As reported on Saturday, XPeng delivered 30,453 vehicles in February, exceeding 30,000 units for the fourth consecutive month. This year, the company led by He Xiaopeng aims to double its sales figures.

Refreshed G6

XPeng unveiled a refreshed version of its G6 SUV on Friday, describing it as a full-scale upgrade with exterior, interior, and configuration changes.

The vehicle will be launched next week, with pricing to be announced at that time. Deliveries in China will begin shortly after.

All variants of the updated G6 come standard with Turing AI intelligent driving and 5C super-fast charging. The front seats feature ventilation, heating, and massage functions, which XPeng claims offer the strongest shiatsu-style massage in the segment. Wireless charging areas have also been upgraded with softer materials.

XPeng said last week it is expanding into Poland through a partnership with local distributor Inchcape. In a statement, the brand says the country has become its largest market in Central and Eastern Europe.

In the second quarter of the year, XPeng will launch in Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia.
