XPeng expects cumulative deliveries of its Mona M03 hatchback coupe to surpass 100,000 units in April, CEO He Xiaopeng said on social media this Monday. The model has accounted for about half of the carmaker’s sales in recent months.

The Mona M03, the company’s most affordable model, debuted in Guangzhou with a starting price of 119,800 yuan ($16,500). The model is available in three versions, priced up to 155,800 yuan ($21,500).

The hatchback coupe saw strong initial demand, receiving 10,000 orders within 52 minutes and 30,000 within two hours. Deliveries exceeded 10,000 units in each of the first three months, rising above 15,000 in December, January, and February.

Latest registration data shows XPeng recorded 8,500 vehicle registrations between March 3 and 9, a 27% increase from 6,700 the previous week. The figures include 5,650 Mona M03 units and 1,680 of the P7+, an 8% weekly decline for the latter.

On Weibo, the brand’s founder and chief executive He Xiaopeng wrote, “XPeng Mona M03 has been the best-selling A-class pure electric sedan for six consecutive months and the top-selling model in the RMB 100,000–200,000 pure electric segment for two consecutive months.”

“Cumulative deliveries of the XPeng MONA are expected to surpass 100,000 units next month. Thank you all for your support and trust!” He Xiaopeng added.

The milestone comes days after He increased his stake in XPeng, purchasing over $13 million in shares. Since August, XPeng’s stock has surged 273% following his total investment of $13.5 million across Hong Kong and U.S. listings.
