Chinese carmaker XPeng said on Wednesday it is expanding into Poland through a partnership with local distributor Inchcape. In a statement, the brand says the country becomes its largest market in Central and Eastern Europe.
The Guangzhou-based company plans to launch sales in Poland in the second quarter, offering three models: the P7 sedan and the G6 and G9 SUVs. XPeng did not disclose the pricing details for the three models in the Polish market.
Updated versions of both fully electric SUVs will be introduced in China in the coming weeks.
XPeng’s expansion follows its January announcement of entry into Ireland and Finland, as it targets availability in 60 markets by year-end. Year to date, XPeng shares have surged 86% and are currently trading at $22.53.
The company first entered Europe via Norway in 2021 and has since expanded to Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, and now Poland.
It plans to launch in Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia in the coming months.
XPeng recently delivered its 10,000th vehicle in Europe, four years after its initial exports, becoming the first Chinese EV startup to reach this milestone.
Globally, XPeng delivered 190,068 vehicles in 2024, up 34% from the previous year, with weekly sales averaging over 10,000 units. The company is set to introduce its first hybrid model later this year.
