XPeng held on Sunday its official launch event in Poland and will start sales through a partnership with exclusive distributor “Inchcape”, marking the Chinese EV maker’s newest market following the expansion to Indonesia in March.
The company had announced in February it would enter the Polish market and start with three fully electric models: the P7 sedan, G9 SUV and G6 coupe SUV.
“XPeng arrives in Poland!,” the company posted on LinkedIn. “A milestone moment as we introduce smart, electric mobility to our biggest market in Eastern Europe.”
Poland is now XPeng’s largest in Eastern Europe, with the company citing the country’s sustained economic growth over the past 25 years and positioning as one of the region’s fastest-growing economies.
The carmaker, which entered Europe via Norway in 2021, has since expanded to Germany, the UK, France, the Netherlands and other European markets. It aims to more than double the number of countries it operates in from 30 to 60 by 2025, and to double annual vehicle deliveries to over 380,000 this year.
“Poland is the largest market for us in Eastern Europe. Over the past 25 years, it has experienced sustained economic growth, making it one of the fastest-growing economies on the continent,” Alex Tang, Head of International Division of Sales and Service at XPeng stated in February.
“These factors position Poland as an ideal market for cutting-edge automotive technology and sustainable mobility solutions. We firmly believe that our vehicles will resonate with Polish consumers, offering unparalleled quality, technological advancement, and an exceptional driving experience,” he added.
The company delivered 33,205 vehicles globally in March, topping its guidance of 30,197 to 32,197 units. First-quarter deliveries totaled 94,008 units, also ahead of expectations.
In Germany, XPeng sold 176 vehicles in March, a record for the second straight month. In the Netherlands, sales fell 6% year-on-year in March to 87 units, with 246 registrations in the first quarter.
