Chinese automaker XPeng announced on Tuesday that it has expanded its charging infrastructure to Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, by partnering with the Singapore-based charging operator Charge+.
The firm has more than 3,800 charging points across Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, which include Singapore’s largest public charging network and highway charging stations in a total of 5,000 kilometers.
According to Charge+, XPeng becomes the first Chinese automaker to access its network, which includes “at least” 20 DC supercharging sites, with power ratings up to 490kW DC — “capable of delivering a charge from 10% to 80% in as little as 12 minutes.”
Furthermore, “the first batch of XPeng-branded stations in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand is now operational, with ultra-fast chargers delivering up to 350 kW,” the Guangzhou-based automaker stated.
“As part of the partnership, XPeng EV owners will enjoy an exclusive charging discount on Charge+’s public chargers in Southeast Asia for three years,” Charge+ stated, adding that they “will also have additional discounts at the XPeng–Charge+ supercharging hubs.”
By year-end, they will also be able to use the mobile app for a seamless “drive-in, charge, and go” one-stop payment experience.
Charge+ stated that, in a second phase, the two companies will expand their joint charging network “to other countries in Southeast Asia, such as Indonesia.”
As of September 23, XPeng has 2,600 self-operated stations in its domestic market, with “over 80% being supercharging stations.”
The company plans to exceed 3,000 charging stations by the end of the year.
The company debuted its first right-hand drive X9 in the 2025 Singapore Motorshow, in January.
XPeng‘s lineup in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand — right-hand drive countries, influenced by the British left-side roads — includes not only the MPV but also the G6 SUV.
In late 2024, XPeng expanded into Hong Kong and Macau through dealer partnerships, offering the same models as in its other markets.
In the UK, where the company entered in February, only the G6 model was made available.
