XPeng Brings Refreshed G6 and G9 SUVs to Europe, Orders Open in ‘Mid-July’

XPeng announced on Thursday it is bringing the updated versions of its G6 and G9 SUVs to its European markets, with orders opening in “mid-July.”

Customers in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, France, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway can now register their interest in the vehicles.

It is unknown whether — or when — the models will be available in other European markets where XPeng is present.

The Guangzhou-based company has not disclosed pricing details or the expected delivery timeline.

XPeng launched the revamped versions of both SUVs in its domestic market in March.

The refreshed iterations feature XPeng‘s 5C supercharging battery across all trims, capable of charging from 10% to 80% charge in just 12 minutes.

In China, the entry-level G6 currently starts at 176,800 yuan, equivalent to $24,600 — while the previous iteration of the model was priced from 199,900 yuan ($27,800).

The upgraded G9 SUV is priced from 248,800 yuan ($34,600), down from the previous version’s starting price of 263,900 yuan ($36,700).

Up until now, the G6 SUV was priced from €43,600 ($49,800) in Germany, the largest auto market in Europe, while the G9 started at €59,600 ($68,100).

In Norway, the world’s leading country in EV adoption, the G6 started from NOK 387,778 ($37,600) and the G9 from NOK 510,084 ($50,700).

The brand sold 316 vehicles in the Norwegian market last month, a 338.9% surge from May 2024. From the total, 174 were G6s, meaning that the SUV represents half of the brand’s sales in the country.

The company registered 1,438 electric vehicles across ten European markets in May, a fourfold increase year over year driven by the brand’s expansion in the old continent.

XPeng recently entered Italy and Poland. The company also announced it is expanding to Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Hungary, Slovenia and Croatia.

It aims to more than double the number of countries it operates in from 30 to 60 by 2025, and to double annual vehicle deliveries to over 380,000 this year.

On Wednesday, XPeng opened pre-orders for the G7 SUV in China. At the pre-launch event, the automaker began accepting reservations at a presale price of 235,800 yuan ($32,800).

The model is positioned to rival Xiaomi’s upcoming YU7 SUV and the refreshed Tesla Model Y.
