Guangzhou-headquartered carmaker XPeng is planning to launch three new models and four major facelifts next year, according to a leaked production plan shared by the automotive blogger “安亭大帆” on Weibo this Tuesday.
In the first quarter of 2025, Xpeng plans to release a redesigned P7i, priced higher than the current P7+.
In the second quarter, Xpeng will launch the G7, a B-segment SUV sharing the same platform as the G6 and the P7+. With an estimated price of 200,000 yuan ($27,400), the model expetced to be launched at the Shanghai Auto Show in late April.
The G6 will undergo a major facelift as recently filed with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, forming a dual-vehicle strategy with the G7 to compete with Tesla’s Model Y.
The third quarter will see a major facelift for the brand’s flagship SUV G9, available in both extended-range and all-electric versions. Updates to the G9 include a redesigned front grille, shifting from a honeycomb design to a horizontal slat layout.
In the fourth quarter, the blogger says XPeng will introduce the G01, a six-seater C+ segment SUV measuring 5.1 meters, equipped with the Kunpeng Super Electric system. It will also offer both extended-range and all-electric variants. Additionally, the X9 will receive a facelift with an extended-range version added to its lineup.
In February next year, the company will officially introduce the X9 to the Norwegian market. Last week, the company delivered its 10,000th vehicle in Europe becoming the first Chinese new energy vehicle startup to achieve this achievement. Additionally, Xpeng has ranked as the top-selling Chinese carmaker for models priced above 40,000 euros ($41,600) in Europe this year.
Earlier this week, the carmker opened the first store in Australia, showcasing the XPeng G6 model and its flying car as key exhibits.
In October, XPeng partnered with Ali & Sons Holding in the Middle East to launch the G6 and G9 models in Dubai.
Additionally, the MPV X9 was launched in Thailand earlier this month with a starting price of 2.79 million THB ($75,300) and is set for delivery between March and April 2025.
Globally, XPeng delivered 30,895 vehicles in November, marking the first time the company surpassed 30,000 units in a month.
llantis-backed brand Leapmotor registered 8,500 vehicles while GAC’s brand Aion recorded 6,900 units.
