The smartphone giant Xiaomi announced Tuesday it surpassed (again) 10,000 deliveries of its debut model SU7 in September.
In October, the company’s CEO Lei Jun said Xiaomi aims to produce and deliver more than 20,000 units as the company continues to ramp up production.
The tech leader launched its inaugural model in late March with deliveries starting in April 2024. For this year, Xiaomi aims to deliver 120,000 EVs —up from the previous target of 100,000 units.

If the company achieves its goal of delivering 20,000 SU7 EVs this month, it will have reached this milestone just seven months after beginning production of its first model.
In a livestream, Lei Jun said that after September, weekly new orders have consistently surpassed 4,000 units, with delivery schedules now extending beyond February of next year.
Over the last few months, the brand led by Lei Jun has not been disclosing the exact number of cars delivered.
However, in the second quarter earnings results, the company informed that it delivered 27,307 vehicles from April to June resulting in 11,619 units in June.
The company started the double shifts at its car factory in early June as it increased the annual production target from 100,000 to 120 thousand units.
At the earnings conference call that followed the results, Xiaomi’s President Lu Weibing reiterated the target saying he is “confident” the company will deliver 120,000 units this year.
