The smartphone, and now automotive manufacturer, Xiaomi has recently unveiled its first electric sedan, SU7, and it’s now preparing to start delivering the first units across 29 locations on Wednesday.

Xiaomi’s first product, the SU7, made its official debut on March 28th, surpassing all expectations. This led to extensive queues at stores as customers eagerly anticipated the chance to see the vehicles and take test drives.

Exclusive information obtained by the reporter of China Business Network indicates that as of early morning on April 2nd, orders for the Xiaomi SU7 had already surpassed 40,000, as reported by Yicai.

Sources familiar with the matter revealed that Xiaomi initially aimed to manufacture approximately 5,000 vehicles in April. However, the company is currently in talks with suppliers to enhance production capacity, though it’s anticipated that this will be a gradual process.
