China’s tech giant Xiaomi launched the Ultra version of its record-breaking SU7 sedan on Tuesday, naming it “a four-door sports car with genuine racing DNA.”
The model starts at 814,900 yuan (equivalent to $114,000) and deliveries are scheduled to start in March 2025. It needs 1.98 seconds to go from 0 to 60mph and can achieve a top speed of 217 miles per hour.
Shortly after the event, the company announced on Weibo that it received 3,680 orders within the first ten minutes of the launch, representing a potential revenue of $419.5 million.

Although the model is not yet available at Xiaomi stores across China, the brand said it plans to start a national tour “soon.”
Earlier this Tuesday, the company’s CEO Lei Jun revealed that the prototype version of the SU7 Ultra set the record as the fastest four-door car in Nürburgring Nordschleife history. Here’s the video shared by Xiaomi on Tuesday.
Xiaomi will complete the expansion of its EV manufacturing plant by mid-2025. The company plans to build its vehicle manufacturing plants in two phases with each one of them targeting an annual production capacity of 150,000 vehicles.
Construction of the second plant began last month and is expected to be completed in June 2025.

Xiaomi deliveries surpassed (again) 10,000 deliveries in September as it aims to reach 120,000 deliveries this year. For October, Jun said the company is targeting 20,000 units delivered.
