China’s WeRide Launches L4 Driverless Minibus in France

Autonomous driving technology company WeRide has introduced an L4 driverless minibus shuttle service in Paris, France. The company has partnerships with Renault-Nissian-Mitsubishi Alliance, Yutong Group, GAC Group, and Bosch.

In collaboration with French automaker Renault, WeRide is currently providing the shuttle service during the Roland-Garros Grand Slam tennis tournament.

Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Guangzhou, China, WeRide has launched its Level 4 Robobus to transport passengers along a route that spans approximately 5 kilometers and takes about 12 minutes.

The Robobus features WeRide’s full-stack, self-developed autonomous driving software and hardware system, meeting the global demand for low-carbon and green public transportation. It offers autonomous shuttle services across various scenarios, including urban roads, airports, resorts, and tourist sites.

WeRide Robobus has established a presence in nearly 30 cities worldwide, making it the company’s flagship product and a cornerstone of its global market expansion.
