VinFast Launches in the Middle East, Prepares Expansion to Six Countries

Vietnamese carmaker VinFast announced Tuesday it has officially expanded to the Middle East region.

The brand will partner with local dealers in the countries, and the first location opened this Tuesday in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with Al Tayer Motor.

The expansion will continue in the upcoming weeks and months with the arrival in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain. To the new markets, VinFast will bring the VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9 models.

Earlier this month, the company announced a deal with charging platform Charge&Go to support the deployment and management of a public charging station network and related services in the UAE.

In the Middle East, VinFast has signed exclusive partnership agreements with three leading regional dealers: Al Tayer Motors (UAE), 

Al Mana Holdings and Bahwan Automobiles & Trading will be VinFast‘s dealerships in Qatar and Oman, respectively.

In the third quarter of the year, VinFast announced it delivered 21,912 electric vehicles, up 66% sequentially and 116% from a year ago.

So far this year, VinFast has delivered 44,260 vehicles and it expects to deliver nearly 36,000 in the three remaining months of the year to achieve its annual delivery guidance of 80,000 vehicles.

The EV maker delivered 9,300 EVs in September in Vietnam becoming the first local EV brand to outperform all international competitors.

VinFast will release its third quarter financial results on November 26.
