Turkish EV Maker Togg Sets 2026 Production Target Above 60,000 Units

The Turkish EV maker Togg aims to produce “60,000 or more” vehicles this year, the company’s Board Chairman Fuat Tosyalı said on Tuesday in a new interview with Bloomberg.

As Togg manufactured approximately 40,000 units in 2025, the target implies a year in year increase of 50% as the brand prepares to launch its third model in 2027.

Sales in its domestic market surpassed 39,000 units taking the EV maker’s cumulative sales in Turkey to 100,000 units.

Togg History

Founded in 2018, Togg is a joint venture between five major Turkish companies: BMC, Zorlu Holding, Anadolu Group, Turkcell, and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB).

After starting mass production of its fully electric T10X compact SUV in 2022, the brand started selling the model in March 2023.

Last September, the T10F compact fastback sedan debuted in the Turkish market.

A month later, Togg expanded to Germany with both its models.

The T10X and T10F models are both produced at the brand’s Bursa factory, in Turkey’s northwest.

Apart from its models, the company launched its own digital experience platform – named Trumore – in January 2023 and debuted its Trugo EV fast charging network in August 2023.

2025 Sales

Citing Tosyalı, the European media outlet Eurometal reported earlier this month that the fully-electric SUV remained as “one of the locomotive models” for Togg in 2025, while the sedan had attracted strong market interest.

“The stability of the T10X in the market and the new interest generated by the T10F have complemented each other. This shows us that we are moving forward with the right steps at the right time as we expand our product range,” the Board Chairman stated.

Togg‘s rival Tesla sold 31,509 units of its Model Y SUV in the Turkish market, the sole model it sells there.

In the second half of the year, Tesla launched the Model Y Standard version of the SUV in the market, allowing it to enter a lower segment.

2026 and 2027 Plans

For this year, Togg plans to “steadily increase T10X and T10F sales and market share” in Turkey and “improve its products with software and digital services and grow in Europe”, Tosyalı told Eurometal.

The brand plans to launch its third hatchback model – named T6 – in 2027.

New B-SUV and B-MPV models are also set to be produced in the company’s Bursa factory, according to the media outlet Daily Sabah.

Annual production capacity at Togg’s plant is expected to reach 100,000 units by the end of 2027 and 175,000 once it reaches full capacity.

EV Perfomance in Turkey

According to data released by the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD), sales of battery-electric vehicles (BEV) nearly doubled last year in Turkey to 191,960 units.

BEVs achieved a market share of 17.7%, meaning that nearly one out of five vehicles sold in 2025 were fully electric.

Hybrid vehicles accounted for 295,378 units – a 62.7% increase compared to 2024.

Specifically, 47,969 of these were plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs), representing a 383.5% year-over-year rise.
