Tesla Launches Long Range RWD Variant of Model Y Standard in Europe

Tesla revealed on X this Friday that the Model Y Standard Long Range RWD has become available in the Old Continent.

Described by the company as the”most efficient Model Y to date”, the new version has an energy efficiency of 12.7 kWh per 100km and is equipped with a 60kWh battery pack.

The Standard Long Range RWD trim provides a WLTP range of 657 km (408 miles),
and 250 kW charging capacity.

The new variant’s pricing starts at €44,990 ($52,300) in France and at €46,990 – equivalent to $54,700 – in the remainder of Europe, according to the Elon Musk-led company’s website.

Therefore, it becomes one of the more affordable options.

The Model 3 Standard is available from €36,990 ($43,000) in the Old Continent – in Tesla‘s lineup.

As of press time, the trim was not yet available in the UK, a right hand drive market.

Deliveries of the new Model Y variant to Europe are expected to begin as early as February, according to the company’s website.

The Standard Long Range RWD version vehicles are produced at the Gigafactory in Germany, alongside the remaining Model Y variants.

Model Y Standard Launch

Over the last year, Tesla has rolled out a broader range of Model Y variants worldwide, especially in the European market.

In early October 2025, Tesla released the Model Y Standard variant in the US and, a few days later, in Europe.

The Model Y Standard Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) is currently available from $39,990 in the US and from €39,990 ($46,500) in the Old Continent.

This variant offers a WLTP range of 534 km (X miles).

The Standard RWD units are equipped with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries and include the AutoPilot feature.

With the introduction of the Standard trim, Tesla reshuffled the Model Y naming structure: the refreshed Model Y launched last year was positioned as the Premium version, sitting below the Performance variant.

In mid-December 2025, Edmunds testing showed that Tesla’s Model Y Standard traveled 337 miles on a single charge — 16 miles above its EPA-estimated range.
