Tesla Model 3 and Model Y — with the Model Y being the world’s best-selling model — have just gotten cheaper in Spain. In June, the company led by Elon Musk sold 1,639 vehicles in the country representing a 1.6% market share.

Two weeks after the beginning of the third quarter, Tesla announced a direct discount of €3,290 ($2,583) on entry-level variants of both models, bringing the starting price of the rear-wheel drive Model 3 to €26,990 and the rear-wheel drive Model Y to €29,990.

This reduction is compatible with the official aids from the MOVES III Plan with scrappage and a 15% reduction on Personal Income Tax. The plan is offered by the Spanish government for the purchase of any fully electric or hydrogen-powered vehicle.

Last quarter, the company registered its second best quarter ever in the Spanish market.

“Tesla Boost is valid for custom orders and preconfigured Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive and Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive vehicles (excluding Model 3 Long Range RWD and Model Y Long Range RWD), ordered from July 15 and subject to delivery by September 30, 2024, inclusive,” the company stated in the official website.

“The listed price includes the application of the €4,500 government mobility incentive, the €2,500 grant for scrapping your vehicle, the €1,210 MOVES incentive for individuals purchasing an electric vehicle, a 15% deduction on Personal Income Tax, and our Tesla Boost price reduction of €3,290,” the company added.

Tesla has recently rolled out a 0% Annual Percentage Rate (APR) financing offer for its Model 3 and Model Y vehicles.

In an email, the company encouraged potential buyers, stating, “Go ahead, take the road trip in Model 3 or Model Y this summer. With versatile cargo space, and up to 390 miles (WLTP) of range on a single charge, chances are you’ll need a break before your vehicle will.”

Additionally, Tesla also began offering zero interest rates on the Model 3 RWD in Malaysia, alongside other low-interest promotions.
