Tesla’s Cybertruck can now charge at up to 325 kW on select V4 Supercharger posts, the company announced on X. The V4 Supercharger post is capable of providing up to 500kW when paired with the V4 cabinet, which is set to launch in 2025.

“Cybertruck can now charge up to 325kW on select V4 Supercharger posts. Rollout in progress,” Tesla wrote on X this Friday. The V4 cabinets, which were unveiled in early November, are also capable of delivering up to 1.2 MW for Tesla’s Semi model.

Currently, there are about twenty locations where Cybertruck owners can charge the vehicle at up to 325 kW including in Rockaway (NJ), Green Pond Road, Mesa (AZ), Blaine (WA), and Santa Ynez, in California with more to be added, according to Tesla.

The company’s director of Charging Max de Zegher clarified on X that Tesla’s rollout of the V4 posts begins with the 325 kW capability while the full 500 kW potential will become available once the V4 cabinets are introduced in 2025.

“The V4 post is capable of charging up to 500kW on the V4 cabinet (coming in 2025) and 325kW on the existing V3 cabinet. Excited to already start improving Charging for Cybertruck,” Max de Zegher wrote.

Tesla’s V4 Cabinet achieves three times the power density of previous models, which Tesla claims will reduce costs and boost reliability. The first V4 Cabinet installations are now entering the permitting phase, with initial site openings planned for next year.
