Tesla reported its second-quarter earnings results earlier this week, and as expected, CEO Elon Musk updated owners, enthusiasts, and shareholders on multiple topics, including the Robotaxi.
Initially scheduled for August 8 (8/8), Musk announced during the earnings conference call that the event will now take place on October 10 (10/10). He explained that the additional two months will allow the company “to show off a few other things.”
“I requested what I think is an important design change to the front, and the extra time allows us to show off a few other things,” Musk said.
Called CyberCab by Elon, the model appears to feature a two-seat interior without a steering wheel and a large center console, as shown in an image shared by Tesla in a video released in late May.

Earlier this month, Bloomberg reported that the event would be delayed by about two months to October due to improvements in design elements.
Responding to a user on X, Elon Musk confirmed several days later that the teams needed extra time due to a design change. However, he added that the delay would allow Tesla to showcase “a few other things” at the event.
