South Korean automaker Kia launched a new advertising campaign for its entry-level electric vehicle, the EV3, featuring a sticker on the car’s rear saying: “I bought this after Elon went crazy.”
The campaign started earlier this month on social media and in major Norwegian print media, eyeing Tesla defectors amid growing criticism of the company’s CEO, Elon Musk.

Kia said in January its EV customers will get access to Tesla Supercharger in North America “sometime in March 2025” – later this month.
Both EV6 and EV9 models were planned to get access in the first month of the year via the NACS to CCS1 adapters.
According to the carmaker, the adapters are “engineered to meet Tesla’s charging specifications and have been developed and tested for use with Kia EV vehicles.”
The EV3 was introduced in Europe last November and features a range of up to 375 miles (603 km) per charge and a starting price of €36,000 in Germany ($39,000).
Online marketplaces, including Amazon, have been seeing increased demand on stickers with phrases like “I bought this before we knew Elon was crazy” and “Anti-Elon Tesla Club.”

Tesla’s stock has fallen for seven consecutive weeks, closing at $270.48 on Friday. The stock has declined sharply from its December 2024 peak of nearly $480, wiping over $800 billion from Tesla’s market capitalization.
Tesla began deliveries of its refreshed Model Y in the U.S. over the weekend, one day after the first European deliveries started at the GigaBerlin plant. In China, the model has started deliveries on February 26.
A seven-seater variant is also expected to join the lineup later this year.
