Rivian updated on Wednesday the pricing on the dual-motor versions of its R1T pickup truck by $2,000.
However, the Dual Standard and Dual versions now include several features that were previously add-ons, such as the Power Tonneau Cover, which was priced above $3,000.
The starting prices for the Dual Standard and Dual versions have increased by $2,000, now beginning at $72,990 and $79,990, respectively.
The Tri-Motor variant remains at $100,990, and the Quad-Motor version starts at $115,990.
According to Rivian owner and enthusiast Chris Hilbert on X, the price increase comes with new features included in the lower-priced iterations.
The Utility Panel, previously an add-on for $750, is now included on both Dual versions, as well as the Power Tonneau cover.
Both iterations also come with tow hooks, after previously only featuring a single tow point.
These features have been added to the dual-motor versions of the R1S SUV (except the cover), though their prices have not changed.
The R1T and R1S Dual also include the Darkout Package in their specs now.
R1S Dual
The R1S Dual Standard is priced from $76,990, with the Dual variant beginning at $83,990.
The prices for the Tri and Quad-Motor iterations begin at $106,990 and $121,990, respectively.
Rivian is offering 1.99% APR for 60 months on select 2025 and 2026 R1 vehicles, and 3.99% APR for 60 months on select 2026 R1 Dual models.
Lease pricing ranges from $699 monthly for the 2026 Dual Standard to $1,729 for the Quad configuration over 36 months, with most offers requiring a $7,000 down payment.
Both models, regardless of the version, support a free trial of Rivian‘s Autonomy Platform+, available “through late 2025,” as stated on its website.
The company is expected to provide updates on its autonomous driving system next week, during the ‘Autonomy & AI Day’ event scheduled for December 11.
Sales and Incentives
Rivian sold 4,500 vehicles in the United States last month, according to data published by Motor Intelligence, signaling a rebound after the end of the federal EV credit on September 30.
Up until the end of November, the company offered $2,800 off any new R1S or R1T when customers accepted a trade-in estimate.
As we enter the final month of the year, the company is keeping financing rates as low as 1.99% annual percentage rate for 60 months on select R1 vehicles and lease offers starting at $699 per month.
Rivian recently revised its annual guidance estimates to a narrower range of 41,500 to 43,500 units.
Considering that it delivered 32,502 vehicles in the first three quarters, the EV maker is aiming for fourth quarter deliveries to be between 8,998 and 10,998 vehicles.
Earlier this week, Rivian introduced a new color option for both the R1T and R1S, along with a limited Miami Edition R1S Quad.
