Irvine-based electric vehicle maker Rivian has hired Erica Zoromski as its new Vice-President of Employee Experience.
The company’s Chief People Officer, R Scott Griffin, announced on LinkedIn this Tuesday that Zoromski is joining Rivian.
Zoromski will head the People Experience team, with responsibility for Total Rewards, People Operations and Employee Experience.
Previously, the executive served as VP of HR Strategy & Operations at the American biopharmaceutical company Gilead Sciences.
“In her new role at Rivian, Erica will be instrumental in piloting our integrated end-to-end employee experience, and we are thrilled to have her leadership and expertise to strengthen this critical area,” Griffin wrote.
Zoromski was also VP of People Solutions at HP Poly (2019-2021) and previously worked for Meta as Director of People Operations (2015-2019).
Zoromski will work alongside Kenyon Stewart, Rivian‘s Principal HRBP (Human Resources Business Partner), Meta’s former Senior Director and Global Head of Employee & Industrial Relations, whom the company recently hired.
Stewart previously held similar positions at Pinterest (2017-2019) and Microsoft (2010-2017).
Chief Financial Officer Claire McDonough also said in a LinkedIn post earlier this week that the EV maker has appointed Chip Newcom as its new Vice President of Investor Relations.
Newcom previously held the same role at Equinix, a US digital infrastructure company, where he worked for a decade.
The new executive replaces Timothy Bei, who held the role of VP of Strategic Finance, Corporate Development and IR for three years.
Bei left in March to be the Senior Vice President of Finance at Redwood Materials, a Nevada-headquartered company focused on battery recycling.
By then, Rivian appointed Derek Mulvey, its Senior Director Strategic Finance & Investor Relations, as the Vice President of Finance.
Last month, the Irvine-based EV maker has hired car industry veteran Omar Rivera as VP of Corporate Quality.
They also recently promoted long-time Rivian engineer Brian Gase to VP of Engineering Quality.
Earlier this year, Rivian also promoted Marina Hoffmann from VP and Head of Communications to Chief Communications Officer.
