Rivian Expands to Pennsylvania With First Showroom, Nears 100 NA Locations

Rivian opened its first showroom in Pennsylvania on Sunday, marking the EV maker’s first US location of 2026 as it expands its retail network ahead of the R2 launch in a few months.

“We are excited to open our first space in Pennsylvania!” the recently appointed Chief Customer Officer Greg Revelle wrote on LinkedIn. “The store is our first US opening of 2026. Thanks for the warm welcome.”

The showroom sits adjacent to Porsche and Tesla locations and is located in one of the largest shopping centers on the East Coast.

2025 Deliveries

Rivian‘s vehicle deliveries fell by about 18% in 2025 to 42,247 despite the increased sales and service network.

The company, founded and led by RJ Scaringe, lowered its annual guidance twice throughout the year.

The expiration of the $7,500 EV Tax Credit made the third quarter of the year the strongest sales period for several manufacturers, including Rivian.

Retail Network

The new King of Prussia location is Rivian‘s sole presence in Pennsylvania, bringing the company’s North American retail and service network to approximately 95 locations across the United States and Canada.

California leads with 28 locations, followed by Texas with seven and Florida with six — according to Rivian‘s website.

New York has seven locations including showrooms in Brooklyn, the Meatpacking District, Roslyn, and White Plains, as well as a charging outpost in the Hamptons.

In Canada, Rivian operates four locations: Calgary and Vancouver in western Canada, and Toronto and Montreal in the east.

The company also operates three charging outposts — standalone facilities with 24-hour restroom access — in Joshua Tree, Yosemite, and the Hamptons.

Rivian operates a direct-to-consumer model, with showrooms allowing customers to view vehicles and book test drives.

R2 Launch

The retail expansion comes as Rivian prepares to launch the R2, its most affordable model, in the first half of 2026.

Production and deliveries are planned to begin at the company’s Normal, Illinois, in the first half of the year.

Rivian has likely chosen Chinese LiDAR manufacturer RoboSense as the supplier for its self driving sensors, which will begin equipping select R2 vehicles later this year.

The company described its LiDAR supplier only as “undisclosed” when announcing the sensor integration in December, at its inaugural AI and Autonomy Day.

Evidence points to RoboSense, one of China’s largest LiDAR makers, whose lower costs make the technology viable for a mass-market vehicle like the R2.
