The US-based electric vehicle (EV) maker Rivian reported on Tuesday that produced 9,612 vehicles and delivered 13,790 vehicles in the second quarter of the year. On August 6th, Rivian will publish its second-quarter financial results.
The company stated that both results “were in line with Rivian’s expectations” and reaffirmed its guidance for the annual production of 57,000 units. As of the time of writing, Rivian’s shares are trading 1.30 percent higher at $14.10.
As reported in late June, the Volkswagen Group is buying a $1 billion stake in the US-based EV maker and planning to invest another $4 billion if the joint venture that will be created with Rivian achieves certain milestones.
The investment will see both companies collaborating in a joint venture aimed at advancing EV technology and expanding their market presence.

A new picture shared by a Reddit user this Monday showed nearly 50 of these vans parked in Germany. Although the user did not share which city the picture was taken in, he said in the comment section that there were about three times more parked next to these.
Last week, a recent drone video shared by a Rivian enthusiast on YouTube revealed a significant accumulation of these delivery vans at the company’s factory lot in Normal, Illinois.
