Rivian Announces New Leasing Prices and Offers on R1 Models

Rivian has introduced new offers on Tuesday to boost demand at the start of the year, including updated leasing prices, new discounts on R1 models, and lower financing rates for select vehicles.

The offers are valid in the US, where the EV maker is based, and until February 3, according to the company’s website.

The brand’s portfolio currently features the 2026 R1S, priced from $76,990, and the 2026 R1T pickup, which begins at $72,990.

The truck had a $2,000 price increase late last year, as Rivian made several optional features standard with the purchase of the vehicle.

Rivian is planning to launch the R2 SUV later this year, with production set to start at its main plant in Normal.

While the entry-level variant will be listed at $45,000, the company has confirmed it will not be available at launch.

Leasing Prices

As first noticed by Rivian owner and enthusiast Chris Hilbert on X, the company has updated its lease prices across all variants of the R1 models.

Rivian has raised leasing prices for its 2026 R1S and R1T models, effective for 36-month contracts starting from Tuesday onward.

Dual trims, including the Standard and Long-Range versions, rose about $100 per month, with the R1S Standard now at $909 and the R1T Standard at $879.

Dual trims for both models went from $929 to $1,069, while Tri-motor variants jumped roughly $200, from around $1,250 to $1,450.

The R1S Quad reaches $1,929 per month, and R1T Quad owners will pay $1,899.

Offers

Customers leasing 2025 model year vehicles will face higher monthly payments, ranging from $959 for the Standard Dual to $1,429 for Tri-motor variants, but can take advantage of a 0% financing rate on 60-month contracts.

As of Tuesday, Rivian offers 0% APR on 60-month leasing contracts on the 2026 Dual-Range Performance and Tri-motor variants of both the R1S and R1T.

All other iterations have a 1.99% financing rate — a measure that was extended from last year.

Additionally, customers leasing a R1S or R1T Tri get a $5,000 discount, while R1 Dual customers can save $3,000.

Rivian is offering the ‘All-Terrain Package’ “for no added cost” with 2025 model year vehicles ordered by February 2. Customers must take delivery by February 28.

The package includes exclusive wheels and tires, a “reinforced underbody shield,” and two additional drive models on Dual trims with the Large and Max battery (as the modes are already included in the Tri variant).

December and Q4 Figures

Up until the end of November, the company offered $2,800 off any new R1S or R1T when customers accepted a trade-in estimate — the promotion was not extended in December, unlike other offers.

The company kept financing rates as low as 1.99% annual percentage rate for 60 months on select R1 vehicles and lease offers starting at $699 per month up until the end of the year.

Rivian is estimated to have sold 3,606 vehicles in the United States in December, according to data published by Motor Intelligence on Monday.

While automakers typically see sales increase in the final month of the year, Rivian‘s sales fell by about 900 vehicles, dropping from roughly 4,500 units in November.

The brand’s founder and CEO, RJ Scaringe, said earlier this year that the company expected the third quarter to be its “strongest,” anticipating weaker final months.

Quarterly sales declined by about 500 units compared with the previous three months.

Last week, Rivian reported deliveries of 9,745 EVs in the fourth quarter and a total of 42,247 units in 2025.

These figures include both deliveries in the United States and Canada, where the company’s vehicles are currently available for purchase.
