Geely Group delivers 260,700 Units in March, Electrified Models Continue Momentum

Geely Holding Group reported on Thursday its first quarter sales of 738,400 vehicles, an yearly increase of 27%. The figure includes sales from Geely Auto, Lynk & Co, Zeekr, Volvo Cars, Polestar, Proton, Lotus, Smart, Radar, LEVC, and Farizon.

In March, the group achieved sales of 260,700 units, with electrified models accounting for 36% of the total, marking a notable 21% increase compared to the same period last year.

Zeekr, Geely’s high-end premium technology brand, sold 13,012 units in March, nearly doubling the sales year over year (95 percent). The brand has recently launched its fifth model, the family-oriented MPV Zeekr Mix while beginning sales in UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Last month, Volvo Cars sold 78,970 vehicles worldwide, up about 25% from last year. “Electrified vehicles sales continue to drive growth for the brand reaching 74,995 vehicles, a YoY increase of 11% and accounting for 41% of the brand’s overall sales,” the brand stated.

Proton Cars, in which Geely Auto Group holds a 49.9% stake in collaboration with DRB-HICOM, achieved sales of 12,666 units in March, with total sales for 2024 reaching 39,150 units.

The group has been continuing its global expansion as Geely Auto reached a new record for export sales in March with 36,405 units (81 percent yearly increase) and started delivering in Kazakhstan and Thailand.
