Onvo’s L60 and L90 Models Face Longer Wait Times in China

Nio‘s sub-brand Onvo has extended delivery times for both its models in China, with new orders now facing a waiting time that can surpass two months.

According to the brand’s website on Monday, Onvo’s debut model — the five-seat L60 SUV — now has an estimated delivery window of seven to nine weeks, up from four to six weeks previously.

Orders placed this week for either of Onvo’s two models are expected to be delivered in the first half of December.

The vehicles are built at one of Nio’s EV plants in Hefei, Anhui Province, and it remains unclear whether the longer waiting times are the result of stronger demand or production/ supply chain constraints.

The refreshed version of the L60, a minor facelift aimed at boosting demand, was launched late last month with deliveries beginning in the next few weeks.

Deliveries of the updated model are expected to start gradually in mid-to-late October, Onvo said.

Prices remain unchanged, with the single-motor 60-kWh version starting at 206,900 yuan ($28,950) and the dual-motor variant priced at 226,900 yuan ($31,770).

Under Nio’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan, prices begin at 149,900 yuan ($20,980) and 169,900 yuan ($23,790) for the single- and dual-motor versions, respectively, with a monthly battery rental fee of 599 yuan ($84).

As reported over the weekend, the L60 recently topped China’s ranking of pure electric mid-size SUVs with the highest one-year value retention rate.

The model scored 71.9%, and it was followed by Tesla’s Model Y at 71.7% and Zeekr’s 7X at 71.0%, according to the 2025 First Half China Vehicle Value Retention Report.

Onvo’s second model, the three-row L90 SUV — launched on July 31 with deliveries beginning August 1 — has also seen its estimated delivery time extended to seven to nine weeks, up from a previous range of five to seven weeks.

The brand delivered in September 15,246 vehicles, contributing to Nio Group’s new record of 34,749 units, including 13,728 from the main Nio brand.

The company recently decided to postpone the launch of the upcoming L80 SUV to 2026 to prioritize ramping up production of the L90 and avoid order backlogs experienced in earlier launches.

The L80, according to a recent filing with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, will be a five-seat variant of the L90.

Since deliveries began in early August, Onvo has delivered over 20,000 L90s, making it the brand’s best-selling model in recent months.

Nio Group reported record deliveries for a second consecutive month in September, handing over 34,749 vehicles across its three brands, including 15,246 Onvo units.

In September, and based on the cumulative figures, the L90 accounted for roughly 10,000–10,500 deliveries, while the L60 contributed around 4,500–5,000 units.
