Onvo to Unveil L60 Interior in August, Deliveries Start in 2 Months

Initially expected for September 10, the first model from Nio‘s sub-brand Onvo will be launched a couple of weeks later.

Onvo will start delivering the L60, a family oriented coupe SUV, “one week after the launch event”, according to the brand’s president Alan Ai.

Unveiled in mid-May, the pre-sale price stands at 219,900 RMB, equivalent to $30,329 with the battery included. The pricing for the battery as a service (BaaS) version will be only announced at the event in late September.

As reported by EV earlier this month, the model — which will be produced at one of Nio’s factory in Hefei, China — has been road testing across multiple cities in China.

The interior design of the L60 will be officially revealed “within the next month.”

Local media in China have recently reported that the model will feature a 13-inch HUD, a 17.2-inch 3K central control screen, and an 8-inch rear entertainment screen. The front row includes wireless charging, similar to the models from the parent brand Nio.

As it prepares to start producing the L60, the first model of its sub-brand Onvo, the electric vehicle (EV) maker Nio is developing a second model: a larger 6-seat SUV expected to be unveiled in 2025.

Images of the model appeared in a clip showing a presentation about Onvo’s software where the upcoming SUV appears in several screenshots. The vehicle is expected to utilize the same platform as the brand’s first model and Model Y competitor, the L60.

In late May, Nio’s Senior Vice President and President of the sub-brand Onvo, Alan Ai, announced that the brand is developing six-seat and seven-seat models aimed at larger families.

A few days earlier, William Li, CEO of Nio Group, anticipated direct competition between Onvo and Li Auto, a Chinese car manufacturer preparing to launch its second fully electric model in the first half of 2025.

“Both Onvo and Beijing-based Li Auto target the personal use auto market and their prices overlap. I believe there will definitely be competition between the pair,” the chief executive said.

Meanwhile, Li Auto’s upcoming electric crossover, its second fully electric model, has been spotted multiple times in China over the past months. It is rumored to utilize 800V architecture and support 5C charging.

Last week, during a livestream, Nio CEO toured the company’s second factory within the NeoPark complex, approximately 300 miles from Shanghai. During the stream, several L60 vehicles rolled off the line.

However, a Nio spokesperson clarified to EV that these units are “test cars,” and not the final vehicles intended for customers.
