Onvo Opens Orders for Refreshed L60, Deliveries Begin Late October

Nio’s sub-brand Onvo on Friday unveiled the second iteration of its debut model, the fully electric five-seat L60 SUV.

Although management described the update as a minor facelift, the refreshed L60 is designed to stimulate demand with new wheel choices, additional interior color schemes, a gold exterior paint option, and slightly better efficiency.

Fei Shen, the brand’s chief and longtime Nio vice president, will present the new model during a livestream event at 7 p.m. Beijing time that also marks the one-year anniversary of the L60’s launch.

“At 7 p.m. tonight, I will be in the official Onvo live broadcast room to celebrate the first anniversary together, and also take the opportunity to talk in more detail about the evolved Onvo L60,” Shen wrote on Weibo on Friday.

Two new interior colors — Bantan Brown and Cloud Beige — are being introduced, the same options offered in July with the brand’s second model, the three-row L90 SUV.

The efficiency of the rear-wheel drive L60 has been improved, lowering energy consumption from 12.1 kWh to 11.9 kWh per 100 km, which raises its CLTC range by 5 km.

The all-wheel drive version also saw consumption fall, from 12.7 kWh to 12.4 kWh per 100 km.

Among new accessories, a fold-out tray table mounted behind the passenger seat is now available.

The option, priced at 1,200 yuan ($169), measures 370 mm wide and can support up to 12 kg.

Orders for the updated L60 opened Friday, with deliveries across China scheduled to begin in late October.

Onvo kept pricing unchanged for the refreshed L60 compared with its first-generation model. The single-motor version with a 60-kWh battery is priced at 206,900 yuan ($28,950), while the dual-motor variant costs 226,900 yuan ($31,770).

Under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan, prices start from 149,900 yuan ($20,980) for the single-motor and 169,900 yuan ($23,790) for the dual-motor configuration, with a monthly battery rental fee of 599 yuan ($84).

For the higher-capacity 85-kWh pack, the single-motor version is priced at 235,900 yuan ($33,070) and the dual-motor variant at 255,900 yuan ($35,830).

When purchased under BaaS, they cost 149,900 yuan ($20,980) and 169,900 yuan ($23,790), respectively, with a monthly battery rental fee of 899 yuan ($126).

Nio is holding its annual event this Saturday (Sept. 20) in Hangzhou, China.

The brand will officially launch the new iteration of its flagship three-row SUV ES8 at the event with deliveries planned to begin on Sunday, September 21.

As reported on Tuesday, Onvo registered 2,620 vehicles in China between September 8 and 14, insurance registration data shared by several automotive bloggers showed.

The figures declined for the third consecutive week after reaching about 3,700 units in the last week of August and 2,650 vehicles in the first week of September.

Below is the letter shared by Fei Shen celebrating the 1-year anniversary of the L60 launch.

“Dear Onvo users and friends, I hope this letter finds you well.

Since I took office at Onvo in April, I have felt the weight of love and responsibility every single day.

This responsibility comes from the trust and support of all Onvo users, as well as from our original aspiration to allow more families to enjoy high-quality travel experiences.

Today marks the first anniversary of the launch of Onvo’s very first model, the Onvo L60.

This is a moment that deserves celebration for every member of Onvo, just like a child’s birthday in a family—where the joy belongs to the whole family, to all of us.

Over the past year, the Onvo L60 has won the favor of more than 65,000 families with its outstanding product strength, becoming a reliable and joyful part of many families’ lives.

This profound recognition is our most precious wealth on the road ahead, giving us courage and strength at every step.

This year, Onvo also welcomed a new “family member”—the “family space flagship” Onvo L90, which has been loved by tens of thousands of families since its launch in July.

Carrying Nio’s genetic heritage, it also redefines the ultimate family travel experience with its spaciousness, ingenious storage, and lightweight design.

With a flexible layout that accommodates “six people and ten suitcases” or “seven people and ten suitcases,” a massive 240L front trunk, rising wing-shaped electric side steps, and premium zero-gravity seats—it is, as described in The Book of Songs, “a home in harmony,” created to make every moment of travel an extension of home.

Good products speak for themselves, and good brands come from continuous innovation.

With a decade of Nio’s technological accumulation, the Onvo L60 has earned the titles of “King of Space,” “King of Energy Efficiency,” “King of Safety,” and “King of Resale Value.”

“Many have a good beginning, but few have a good ending”—this is why we hold firmly to long-termism.

Though the Onvo L60 is a mid-size SUV, it contains class-surpassing qualities: a flexible “five people, five suitcases” layout; seats that can quickly transform into a sofa or a large bed; a 139L recessed trunk that can fit a cooler, luggage, or baby products…

Our users are continuously unlocking new usage scenarios—these are not just functions, but poetry and the distant horizon in daily life. Onvo has always been there, accompanying every departure and every arrival.

In terms of energy consumption, the Onvo L60 also achieves class-leading ultra-low levels: it can still start after standing fully charged for 1,000 days; the “Starlight Guard Mode” protects against scratches and consumes only 0.9 kWh in 24 hours.

All this comes from Nio’s ten years of pure EV technology accumulation, enabling the L60 to achieve the highest lightweight design in its class and an ultra-low drag coefficient—this is not only a victory of technology, but also our commitment to efficiency in every detail.

User safety is a non-negotiable bottom line at Onvo.

The L60 has become one of the best-performing models in C-IASI testing history, winning a “grand slam” in domestic safety tests. Your safety, and that of your family, is our greatest concern.

What makes me and my team even more gratified is that over the past year, the L60 has also shined in the used car market: average circulation of only 5 days, with a one-year resale value leading its class.

The philosophy of “car and battery having the same lifespan” and the experience of “always like new” through battery swapping and lifetime warranty echo Bai Juyi’s poem: “To test jade, it must be fired for three full days; to judge talent, it must be observed over seven years.”

A good product stands the test of time.

As Onvo’s very first model, the L60 inherits Nio’s ten years of technological heritage, sharing the same lineage as the ET9, and protects every journey of every user with the most advanced pure EV technology.

Today, on its first anniversary, we bring an “evolution that makes the good even better,” allowing every owner to continue enjoying the dividends of technological progress.

Now, the L60 and L90 are like brothers in a family: each with different characters, yet united in heart and purpose.

One agile and versatile, the other spacious and dependable—both stay true to Onvo’s original aspiration of being “born for families.”

This commitment to protecting and accompanying families is our deepest belief in building cars.

The road ahead is long but full of light.

Onvo will continue to adhere to technological innovation, constantly improving the product experience, and never betraying any love and trust. Every road traveled with you is Onvo; every moment spent together is the future.

Let’s move upward together!”
