Earlier this week, EV reported that Nio’s sub-brand Onvo informed customers with L60 orders that the delivery wait time for the debut model was between 8 and 12 weeks, potentially stretching deliveries to as late as mid-December.
A new post from a customer on Weibo indicated that the estimated delivery window has now been extended to 10 to 14 weeks, as the company’s production capacity for the year hits its limit.
Onvo, following the practice of its parent company Nio, has not disclosed the number of reservations it received since the launch of the family-oriented SUV on September 19.
“My Onvo L60 will take two and a half to three and a half months to be delivered, which means it might not arrive until early next year,” Weibo user Lǐ Jì wrote.

Nio management said they expect to deliver 5,000 units in October, with a production ramp-up aimed at delivering 20,000 L60 units by March 2025.
In response to the high demand, Nio Founder and CEO William Li, along with Onvo President Alan Ai, held a supplier conference in Hefei, China, on September 20, just 24 hours after the L60’s launch.
More than 1,000 supply chain partners attended the event, during which Nio urged suppliers to “increase shifts and improve production planning.”
Saying the order was placed on the night of the event, “It seems the L60 is in very high demand,” the Weibo blogger added.
Earlier this week, Alan Ai stated that Onvo is “working closely with partners to increase shifts and enhance production planning to ensure more users receive their L60 as soon as possible.”
On Monday, an official spokesperson said, “Since the release on September 19, L60 orders have exceeded expectations, and efforts are being made to meet customer demand.”

The company has asked customers for “patience and support” as production ramp-up takes place at Nio’s factory in Hefei, China.
To offset the wait, Onvo announced earlier this week two new incentives/benefits with the first one being a daily draw to win “up to 888 yuan ($126) in charging subsidies”.
As the second one, if the brand fails to deliver a vehicle within 12 weeks from the date of order confirmation due to internal factors, customers will receive a 1,000-yuan no-threshold discount voucher for use in the Onvo car mall upon delivery.
Additionally, for each week beyond the 12-week delivery window, customers will receive two Onvo battery swap experience vouchers. The brand noted that even if the delay is less than a full week, it will be rounded up and counted as one week.
