Nio’s Sub-Brand Onvo Stops Displaying Delivery Wait Times

Nio’s sub-brand Onvo said on Saturday it has delivered its 100,000th vehicle in China, with brand chief Shen Fei personally handing over the car.

The milestone indicates the family-oriented brand delivered more than 9,700 vehicles between October 1 and 18, as production of its three-row L90 SUV continues to ramp up.

“The Onvo family surpassed 100,000 users today!,” the company wrote on Weibo this Saturday.

“Delivery centers across the country have turned into huge photo-op spots,” Onvo added.

The company had announced earlier this week that the 100,000th had been produced.

As reported by EV earlier this week, the delivery waiting time for both models increased to a range of seven and nine weeks.

As of Saturday, the company’s website does not show anymore the estimated delivery time.

“For delivery time, please contact your Onvo advisor,” the brand says.

Earlier in the week, customers placing an order for a five-seat SUV L60 or a three-row SUV L90 had to wait for between seven and nine weeks.

Onvo‘s debut model, the five seat SUV L60, was pre-launched in May 2024 and launched a few months later on September 19.

As the family-oriented had delivered a total of 90,279 units as of the end of September, the forecast of delivering the 100,000th vehicle “this weekend” indicates that the brand will deliver 9,721 EVs between October 1 and 18/19.

The brand delivered 15,246 vehicles in September, contributing to Nio Group’s new record of 34,749 units across the three brands Nio, Onvo, and Firefly.

Last month, the brand launched a facelift of its debut model with deliveries expected to begin across China later this month.

The company recently decided, earlier this year, to postpone the launch of the upcoming L80 SUV to 2026, prioritizing the ramp-up of production of the L90 and avoiding order backlogs experienced in the L60 launch.
