Nio’s Firefly Brand Posts Record 6,088 November Deliveries, Up 3% Sequentially

Firefly, one of the sub-brands of Nio Group, delivered 6,088 units of its debut model in November, setting a new monthly record for the brand that launched in December 2024.

The November figure represents a 3% increase from October’s 5,912 deliveries and marks the third consecutive month of record-breaking sales for the compact EV brand.

Firefly deliveries began in China in late April, with the brand reaching previous peaks of 5,775 units in September and 4,346 in August.

Group Deliveries Rise 76% Year-Over-Year

Nio Group delivered 36,275 vehicles across all brands in November, a 76.3% increase from a year earlier but a 10.2% decline from October.

The total included 18,393 vehicles from the flagship Nio brand, 11,794 from the family-oriented Onvo brand, and 6,088 from Firefly.

The Nio brand’s November deliveries rose 18.7% year-over-year, driven by strong demand for the ES8 three-row sport utility vehicle.

International Expansion and Subscription Service

Firefly began international deliveries in August, launching simultaneously in the Netherlands and Norway as its first European markets.

The brand plans to expand to 17 markets worldwide over the coming months. Over the last few weeks, deliveries of the brand’s debut model began in Belgium and in Denmark.

A week before the end of November, Firefly brand chief Daniel Jin assured media in a Q&A session that November deliveries would exceed October’s performance.

“In November, our delivery numbers will be more than this. Rest assured,” Jin said, while pointing to October’s 5,912 units.

Last month, Firefly introduced China’s first credit-based car subscription service through a partnership with Ant Group’s Zhima Credit system and automotive platform SuperEV.

The “Firefly 7-Day Car Subscription” program allows customers to access vehicles based on their credit scores rather than traditional leasing arrangements.

Production Milestones

At the Guangzhou Auto Show on November 21, Nio Group founder and Chief Executive Officer William Li announced that Firefly had delivered 30,000 cumulative units in just under seven months since launching deliveries.

The company plans to introduce a second-generation version of Firefly‘s debut model in 2027, with no new model launches scheduled for 2026.
