Last May, Nio officially unveiled Onvo — its first and cheaper subbrand aimed at families. After four months of high expectations on the final price, Onvo held the launch event of the SUV on Thursday in Hefei, China, announcing that prices start at 206,900 yuan ($26,307).
The standard range 60 kWh model is priced at 206,900 yuan, while the long-range 85 kWh version comes in at 235,900 yuan.
If the customer opts to subscribe to the battery and access over one thousand battery swap stations across the country, the start price lowers to 149,900 yuan — equivalent to $21,208.

In these cases, customers are charged a monthly battery fee of either 599 yuan or 899 yuan, depending on whether they choose the standard-range or long-range version.
Earlier this month, during the second quarter earnings conference call, Nio Group CEO William Li said the company is targeting 10,000 L60 units delivered in December and a continued increase to 20,000 units monthly deliveries “sometime next year”.
Customers who confirm their orders by October 8 receive benefits valued at 41,538 yuan, including five years of free NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) software, a “pay 4, get 1 free” offer on five years of battery rental, and 20 battery swap vouchers.

The model features 900V high-voltage architecture, with a CLTC energy efficiency of 92.3 per cent and the world’s lowest drag coefficient of 0.229 for a production SUV. The model can achieve an energy consumption of 12.1 kWh per 100 km.
In a comparison video, the company showed the difference between the Chassis Comfort of a Onvo L60 and its main competitor, Tesla Model Y.
Onvo’s President, Alan Ai, joined the Nio Group in July 2021 as Vice President for a “New Strategic Business”. As reported by EV on May 10, 2022, Tiecheng’s role was clear from the first day —preparing for the launch of what was then known only as “Alps”, the codename for the sub-brand Onvo.
