As reported exclusively by EV earlier this week, Shanghai-headquartered Nio is set to introduce the 2024 facelift for its flagship sedan ET7 on April 16th. Nio‘s Group Vice President for Europe, Hui Zhang, hinted at the upcoming launch on the Chinese platform WeChat, revealing the new silhouette with the message “4.16 Brand new ET7, let’s “7” together”.

The upcoming facelift represents Nio‘s third iteration of the sedan, initially unveiled in January 2021 at its annual Nio Day event. Attendees at the Beijing Auto Show will have the opportunity to see the 2024 variant during the event.
During the event, the company will begin accepting orders, with initial deliveries slated for the end of the month. The new version of the sedan is anticipated to introduce several enhancements aimed at boosting sales, which have been lackluster for the previous two variants in both China and Europe amid fierce competition.
Never miss an update

During last year’s Shanghai Auto Show, William Li revealed an upgraded version of the sedan, boasting more than 15 enhancements, including improved seats and a 40W wireless charging panel for cell phones.
On Thursday, EV reported that Nio has started cutting jobs in China six months after scaling down its workforce by “around 10 percent”, as mentioned by the CEO in an internal letter last November.
