Electric vehicle maker Nio started Monday the deliveries of its flagship SUV EL8 in Europe. In the Netherlands, one of its five European markets, the company handed over three vehicles at its Nio Hub in Utrecht as announced on LinkedIn by a Nio employee from the Dutch team.
The 6-seater is equipped with four executive seats and one flexible third-row with the Executive variant including features like a smart refrigerator and massage functions.
“Today we were proud to deliver our first 3 EL8s to 3 happy users from our location in Breukelen! I wish the drivers many beautiful and safe kilometers!,” Nio’s delivery specialist Mitchell Hoogendorp wrote.
Initially launched in China in late 2022, the EL8 has been refreshed with the new Executive variant priced in Germany at €108,900 with battery included and at €87,900 with the Battery as a Service system.
The 2022-23 version starts at €94,900 ($105,160) in the German market when buying with the battery while the battery subscription service, which allows users to swap the battery of the car in a few minutes, starts at €82,900 ($91,861).
Earlier today, the music and video content distribution Stingray announced that signed a partnership with Nio to launch Stingray Karaoke to European customers.
