Electric vehicle maker Nio has launched its first Ramadan promotion in the United Arab Emirates, offering discounts of up to AED 12,500 ($3,400) on the three models it sells in the country.

Customers can save up to AED 7,500 ($2,040) on the ET5 sedan, AED 10,000 on the EC6 coupe SUV, and AED 12,500 on the EL8 flagship SUV. The promotion, which runs until the end of March, also includes a free Nio Power Home Charger 3.0 and free vehicle registration.

According to Nio’s UAE website, the ET5 starts at AED 199,900 ($54,400) when equipped with a 75 kWh standard-range battery, with a waiting period of two months. Prices for in-stock units begin at AED 208,300 ($56,700).

The EL8—marketed as the ES8 in China—starts at AED 359,900 ($98,000) with a 100 kWh long-range battery and a two-month waiting period. In-stock units are priced from AED 382,300 ($104,100).

Customers financing their purchase through Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) can delay their first installment for up to six months.

Since it entered the market, the EV maker has not disclosed any registrations/delivery figures in the region. Over the last few years, the Middle East region has welcomed several international carmakers including Nio, XPeng, VinFast and Lucid.

Nio, which entered the UAE market in late 2024, established a joint venture with Abu Dhabi-based investment firm CYVN Holdings last year to expand into the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region under the name Nio MENA.

On Wednesday, the company opened its first battery swap station in the Middle East at the Yas Marina F1 Circuit in Abu Dhabi.

Later this year, the carmaker is planning to launch its sub-brands Onvo and Firefly in the region to expand its portfolio.
