Nio Group posted record vehicle deliveries in September, handing over 34,749 units across its three brands — Nio, Onvo and Firefly.
The tally marked a 64.1% jump from a year earlier and a 11% increase from August.
September deliveries included 13,728 Nio vehicles, 15,246 Onvo models and 5,775 Firefly cars, the company said Wednesday.
That lifted third-quarter deliveries to 87,071, slightly above the lower end of the 87,000–91,000 guidance the electric-vehicle maker issued with its earnings report on September 2.
Based on the third-quarter guidance provided, the company expected to deliver between 34,678 and 38,678 EVs in September.
The Shanghai-headquartered Group is targeting a 100% increase in sales by 2025, indicating over 440,000 units delivered.
However, as of September 30, year to date deliveries stood at 201,221 vehicles.
For the final three months of the year, Nio is targeting 150,000 units across its lineup, with the recently launched Onvo L90 and flagship Nio ES8 expected to drive demand.
US-listed shares of Nio climbed 5.6% Tuesday to close at $7.62, their highest level in 21 months.
Separately, Nio’s assistant vice president of brand and communication, Ma Lin, said on social media that the group’s three marques received more than 10,000 new orders last week — a figure he described as “a little bit lacking.”
