Electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer Nio published on Thursday its second quarter earnings results with an outlook for the third quarter vehicle deliveries between 61,000 and 63,000 units.
Based on the 20,498 vehicles delivered in July and 20,176 in August, the company expects to deliver between 20,326 and 22,326 electric vehicles this quarter. The result would represent a 10.0 per cent to 13.7 per cent growth from the third quarter of last year.

If achieved, the result will represent the fifth consecutive month of over 20,000 vehicles delivered. If the high end guidance is met, the company can achieve a new all time record for vehicle deliveries as the first model of its sub-brand Onvo is expected to be delivered in late September.
The company expects total revenues to be between 19,109 million yuan ($2.630 billion) and 19,669 million yuan ($2.707 billion), representing a slight increase of 0.2 per cent to 3.2 per cent from a year ago.
Year to date, the company’s vehicle deliveries are up nearly 36 per cent from 2023 at 128,100 units.
