NIO ET7 Model spotted on the road 75 days before starting to be delivered

Nio ET7, the sedan launched by the Chinese EV during NIO Day in Early 2021, was spotted in China. Nio will start taking confirmed orders of the ET7 on January 20th and start customer deliveries on March 28th – 75 days from now. European Markets will receive it later this year bringing the new ET7 Model to Norway, Denmark, Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands during Q3-Q4.

Nio says that the ET7 will be the world’s first mass-produced electric car available with a solid-state battery pack. A 150 kWh solid-state battery pack with a 50% battery energy density of 360 Wh/kg will be available as an option. Nio said in January 2021 that the new battery would be available from the Q4 2022.

Starting at around $69,000 for the 70.0-kWh option, the ET7 and the Model S will battle for the same buyers. That said, the price drops to around $58,000 if the buyer opts for Nio’s Battery as a Service (BaaS) subscription, which allows drivers to swap their batteries at Nio Power Swap stations in China for a fee of around $150 a month.

The ET7 features motors at the front and rear with a combined output of 643 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. The sedan is claimed to accelerate to 62 mph in 3.9 seconds.

In China, Nio will sell the ET7 in seven different color options: Cloud White, Deep Space Black, Star Grey, Li Kongyin, South Pole Star Blue, Xiaguang Orange, and Aurora Green.
