The EV maker Nio is preparing to launch the 2024 facelift of its flagship sedan ET7 at the upcoming Beijing Auto Show, internal messages revealed. The upcoming facelift marks Nio‘s third version of the sedan unveiled in January 2021 at its annual event Nio Day.
According to the messages seen by EV, the new ET7 will be available at Nio’s showrooms in China from April 16th with its officially launch planned for the Press days of the Auto Show in Beijing.
The company will start locking orders during the event with the first deliveries starting in the last days of the month. It is expected that the new version of the sedan brings several improvements aiming to increase the disappointing sales of the two previous variants both in China and Europe.

Never miss an update
At the Shanghai Auto Show last year, William Li unveiled an upgraded version of the sedan featuring over 15 enhancements, such as improved seats and a 40w wireless charging panel for cell phones.
In March, Nio delivered 11,866 vehicles, an increase of 14.3 per cent compared to the previous year. Of the deliveries, 6,737 were SUVs and 5,129 were sedans.
March saw a notable rebound in SUV sales for Nio, following a consecutive decline since July 2023 when SUV deliveries peaked at 14,066 units. As the company initiated deliveries of the upgraded 2024 versions of SUVs ES8, ES6, EC7, and EC6 in March, customer demand naturally surged.
The first model of Nio’s first subbrand Onvo L60 — previously codenamed as Alps— was seen in new spy shots in China this Tuesday. The official brand launch was recently confirmed for May while L60’s product launch is expected to happen in July.
As of time of writing, Nio shares are trading 8.78 per cent higher at $4.75 per share.
