Hydrogen-powered and electric truck maker Nikola announced two new clients for its vehicles in the last 24 hours as its sales grow for four consecutive quarters.
The California-based delivery company WestCoast Warehousing received its first Nikola truck on Tuesday with Nikola’s regional sales manager Dan Duran teasing “more BEVs and Fuel Cell deliveries” for WestCoast “very soon”.

Additionally, Nestlé Purina PetCare said it received its first hydrogen fuel cell electric semi-truck this week. The specific number of Nikola trucks ordered was not specified by the company.
Purina said the first truck transported its products across three cities in California including Stockton, Maricopa and Modesto.
“We are continuously identifying new opportunities within our business and through partnerships to help us meet our sustainability goals,” said Travis Krous, Purina senior director of Supply Chain Operations.
“This truck represents an exciting opportunity to test new technology and determine if it’s feasible to scale,” the executive added.
Nikola sold 88 hydrogen fuel cell electric trucks in the third quarter of the year, up 22 percent from the 72 units registered between April and June.

For the first three quarters of the year, Nikola sold 200 hydrogen fuel cell trucks, and 235 total since the truck went on sale in late 2023.
Last week, also Talon Logistics announced on LinkedIn it acquired two new zero-emission trucks to continue electrifying its fleet.
Additionally, last week, the giant supply chain solutions provider JB Hunt announced it added 20 Nikola Tre fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) to its fleet.
