Mercedes-Benz announced on Wednesday that is partnering with Starbucks in the United States to install electric vehicle (EV) chargers in 100 stores across the country.
In the first phase, the companies will focus on stores along the 1,400-mile Interstate I-5 corridor from San Diego to the Redwoods.
This corridor is considered a vital west coast travel route and will be equipped with Alpitronic Hypercharger 400 kW chargers, featuring NACS cables.
In the second phase of the program, chargers will be installed in central urban areas and regions with limited charging infrastructure, with additional locations to be identified over time, including markets on the East Coast, according to Starbucks.
